Imagine waking up to the sound of birds singing. Stroll down to the lake and enjoy the cooling breeze while chatting with friends. There isn't a more relaxing place to meet with neighbors or curl up with a good book. With so many acres of property, there is plenty of room to create your own private haven.

As an Eastchester resident, you are just minutes from the Town of Eastchester's beautiful Lake Isle Country Club where you can golf, dine, swim or play tennis. Public tennis and paddle tennis courts are within walking distance. If you enjoy walking or running, the track at Eastchester High School provides a safe and comfortable environment. With everything Interlaken and Eastchester have to offer, you will feel as if you are living in a resort community.

Interlaken Gardens is a 49-acre self-managed cooperative apartment community of 517 families.

We enjoy a private beachfront at Lake Innisfree (Reservoir #1), which provides opportunities to swim, sail, fish, or relax in the sun.

The Lake is the center of our year-round activities which include a children's holiday party, Easter-egg hunt, pot luck suppers, bingo and summer barbecues. The Lake season is from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Community involvement is encouraged and shareholders are always welcome to join the Lake Committee, Craft Club, Mahjong Club, Garden Committee, and Fishing Club. Numerous upgrades have been made in recent years to the common grounds, as well as the Lake front, picnic area, and playgrounds.

Interlaken Gardens offers a selection of first floor, second floor and duplex units.
Several first floor units have private patios on common grounds.
The spacious second floor units are airy and bright.
The simplex units and duplex units are just like small townhouses or houses. Simplexes have backyard patios on common ground, kitchen, living room, formal dining room, two bedrooms, and bath.
Duplex owners enjoy bedrooms and bath on the second floor and a kitchen, living room and formal dining room on their first floor.

General Information about Interlaken Gardens
As a shareholder in a cooperative, you do not legally own your unit. Instead, you purchase shares in the Co-operative Corporation that entitles you to a proprietary lease on your unit. As a shareholder, you are entitled to vote for the Board of Directors and have a voting weight equal to the number of shares you own. You essentially receive the same tax advantages as if you bought a private home or condominium. Not only can you deduct the interest on your co-op loan, but also you can deduct a proportionate share of your monthly maintenance payments that are spent on taxes, etc.
